beautiful lot
My husband and I stayed at this Coral Estate home for 10 days with our 9month old daughter. It was a beautiful lot. The moment you drive up, you see the ocean backdrop and the gorgeous landscape. The home was spacious and also has a pretty great sized pool (about 5ft deep). The home is situated within a private neighborhood with great amenities (you’ll have access to the amenities provided by the luxury resort also in Coral Estates). We frequented the pool and restaurants in the resort. The people are friendly, the views are breathtaking, and the food was delicious! On top of it all, you go to sleep to the sounds of birds and the breeze at night, so if you’re looking for tranquility and peaceful night’s sleep, look no further! Last thing, the host does a really good job of prepping you with the basics for your stay: dish soap, sponge, trash bags, etc. However, if you’re a planner and you like to be prepared, I suggest taking the host up on the offer to go grocery shopping for your prior to you’re arrival for a fee of $35. It was worth it for us given our late arrival and the fact that we had an infant with us.
Things to consider:
This villa is about 30ish minutes outside of Willemstad. Making that drive each day, back and forth, can be tough.
If you’re staying for a long while, consider buying some groceries for your refrigerator. It is hard to come by a grocery store, and in this area you can only drive to one.
If you have an infant, be aware that the floors are not very clean for crawling. The first day there, the bottom of my feet became dark within 10minutes of walking around the house. We had to sweep the house again. Even then, the floor felt dirty. The house needed a good mopping!
Lastly, if you’re not a excited by ants and iguanas, get ready to share space with them. We constantly saw ants in our bathroom, luggage, bed, etc. The iguanas often pooped on the perimeter of our pool and would go I cleaned until the pool maintenance person came to pick it up (the come once per week).
